Follow this simple step-by-step guide to make a new Internet
connection with Windows 95 or Windows 98.

From the Windows desktop, double click the My Computer
icon. When the My Computer window appears, double click the Dial-Up Networking
icon.
A window like the one to the right will appear.

Double click the Make New Connection icon to start the Connection Wizard.
Type a name for your new connection, such as TMS Free,
and select the modem you want to use to dial the Internet.
Click Next >

Type the area code (0845) and the telephone number (6091363) where prompted.
Enter the country
code.
Click Next >

You have now created the dial-up connection.
Click Finish
|

You will see a new icon with the name of your connection in the Dial-Up
Networking window.
Right click the icon and select Properties from the flyout
menu.

Check that the details you entered are correct.
Click Server Type…
This is accessed by clicking the "Server Type" tab on
later releases of Windows 95 and Windows 98.

Make sure the details entered in the Server Types dialogue box match the
example on the right.
Click OK on all dialogue boxes until you return to the
Dial Up Networking window.
Your computer is now ready to connect to the Internet!
